Where did Summer go? Is it really the middle of August already?
My birthday is on Sunday (NOT complaining about that part!) Happy Birthday to me! School starts back for my girls (H & C) on Monday! School supply shopping is all done! Days of sleeping in will soon be over...
I feel like we had a great summer though. We went to our first Colorado Rockies baseball game, went to the pool a number of times, visited Red Rocks, Tiny Town Railroad, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, had playdates with friends and cousins, - what more could a kid want?
I made a Summer Photobook from Shutterfly to capture all our memories! I LOVE Shutterfly photobooks! It's my new "thing." I have never been a scrapbook Mom. I just take, oh about 100 picture per event, and store them on my computer. I've always wanted to make a photobook, but figured they were too expensive. But, once you order one time you start to get emails with discount codes and offers! So, I now will have a collection of 6 books in about another week when my others arrive in the mail! (No, Shutterfly did not pay me to write that paragraph! LOL!)
I have read on Pinterest about a School Fairy coming to your house, and when the kids wake up they have a little surprise of some kind from the School Fairy. Have you ever done this tradition? I am considering leaving a note, maybe with a new eraser, or something small. I think they would like that! Click HERE for some examples of the School Fairy from Pinterest.
I heard on KLove Radio station (Denver 91.1) about a Teacher Certificate. If you want to print your child's new teacher a Certificate of Appreciation click HERE and you will be taken to KLove's website to print a certificate.
However you begin your school days and end your summer...I hope its filled with one last barbecue party, one last dip in the pool, and one last morning of sleeping in! (ok..that last one was MY wish!)
